Arcuri, Clinton ask MLB to rethink game plan

By: Web Staff

UTICA, N.Y. -- Congressman Michael Arcuri and Senator Hillary Clinton are asking Major League Baseball not to cancel the annual Hall of Fame game in Cooperstown. Major League Baseball decided to cancel the game after this year because it's too hard to schedule during the season.

Arcuri said canceling the game will hurt the economy and baseball's roots.

"It just seems to me with all the bad publicity that it gets, you see the steroid investigation, baseball needs a little more purity to preserve the purity of what baseball is all about,” said Arcuri.
