Benefit held for family in need

CICERO, N.Y. -- Friends and family came out to Damonds in Cicero to help a Liverpool family in need. Samantha Reynolds, 14, was killed back in April when the family's van was hit by a drunk driver in South Carolina.

Six other family members were taken to the hospital with injuries in the crash. More than two months later the family is trying to keep up with their medical bills, so a benefit was held to help out. Samantha's stepmother said she is overwhelmed by the support the community has shown her.

"I just can't even believe the turnout and the people. It's wild, it's just amazing to me and I want to thank everybody who has even pulled into the parking lot today. It's just all I ever asked for was the support and we've got it today,” said Brenda Reynolds, Samantha's Stepmother.
