New hotel comes to Griffiss Park
ROME, N.Y. -- For anyone visiting Rome, there's a brand new hotel to stay in. The Wingate by Wyndam officially opened its doors for business Friday.
The 76 room facility has an in-ground pool, spa, and nine Jacuzzi suites. It's located in the Griffiss Technology and Business Park.
One of the hotel partners hopes this hotel will give the park an economic boost.
"This is the first new hotel in Rome. Probably in 40 or 50 years. We hope this is spur Griffiss Park to become bigger and better than it is,” said David Bovi, Hotel Partner.
