Drastic need for blood donations in the North Country
NORTH COUNTRY, N.Y. -- Do you have Type "O" blood? If you do, there is a major need for it in the North Country. Your chance to help will be this Tuesday.
The Second Annual Super Summer Blood Drive will be held at the State Office Building in Watertown from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There are also two other locations to donate, Samaritan Medical Center and the Eagles Club.
Officials say the demand for donors always increases as the weather gets warmer.

"Summertime there's always a need for blood. As active as people are and the amount that people travel in the summertime, unfortunately there's always demand,” said Mike Flick, Co-Organizer.
Organizers say donating blood is the easiest way to save a life. All donors will receive a free t-shirt.
