Acting Surgeon General visits local alma mater
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Nottingham High School students get some healthy tips from the United States Acting Surgeon General. Rear Admiral Steven Galson is a 1974 Nottingham graduate. He took some time Friday to talk to students about the problems of high obesity rates and underage drinking.

Galson challenged students to make healthier choices and to exercise at least two and a half hours every week.

"It's very, very important because the younger we can catch our young people and talk to them and make sure that they know about the importance of making these right choices, the more impact, the more positive impact we can have, so it's really, really important," said Galson.
