Managers said the unusually cold weather prompted them to shut down early. They said they'll now spend the rest of the time maintaining and improving the course for next spring.

"Obviously 2006 was a rough year for us, and if you were to come out here this time of year, or last month, you would never know there was flood here. We're pretty proud of that and we're just going to keep getting the golf course better and better every day,” said golf course director Michael Deuel.
