Lisbon teacher pleads guilty
LISBON, N.Y. -- The Lisbon teacher accused of having sex with her 15-year-old student plead guilty in court Monday.
Christel Gravlin, 33, was charged with third degree rape. As part of the agreement, she'll be sentenced to no more than six months in the county jail. She'll also face up to 10 years of probation and have no contact with the victim until his temporary order of protection expires.
"I think it’s very unfortunate our teachers have contact with our children on a regular basis and we need to look to them and rely upon them to act as adults and to put the children's interest above their own and unfortunate that didn't happen in this case," said Nicole Duve, St. Lawrence County District Attorney.
