North Country dance group holds benefit for Amish family
CRARY MILLS, N.Y. -- A North Country community joins together to help a family in need. Members of the North Country Contra Dance group are raising money for the Douglass family injured in an Amish buggy accident last month. Part of the proceeds from Friday's dance event will be donated to the family.
The Douglass boys are home-schooled by their mother but because of her injuries, she isn't able to teach them right now.
"We decided to make this dance a benefit for the family so we can send the boys to Little River School for the winter while Amy, their mother, heals," said Patricia Green with the dance group
