JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Could a Jefferson County manufacturing plant be getting new life? It is possible, according to a report in the Florida Times Union.

A German-based clothing retailer is working to buy Venus Swimwear. Nothing has been finalized, but it appears the 240 employees at Venus's Jacksonville, Florida plant will be offered the chance to stay on board with the new company.

What's not sure is if that would include Venus's other plant in the Town of Dexter. The 50 employees at the facility in Jefferson County were alerted to possible job cuts back in May when American Capital Bank pulled financing.

Calls placed to the Dexter plant have yet to be returned.
