VAN BUREN-- Kids of all ages got the chance to learn the ins and outs of soccer from a pro on Saturday. 2004 Olympic gold medalist Abby Wambach teamed up with MVP Healthcare to host a free soccer clinic for young soccer stars at the CNY Family Sports Center in Van Buren.

The clinic focuses on helping kids to live healthy and exercise by finding alternative ways to be active. For two hours they played games, learned drills and perfected new techniques, but Wambach says the kids aren't the only ones who got something out of the clinic.

"I do take so much away from being able to hopefully inspire some of these kids at least,” said Abby Wambach, US Soccer Olympian.

Wambach says she's glad she could be there to show these kids that anything is possible if they follow their dreams.
