ONEIDA CASTLE, N.Y. -- A hunter is facing charges after one of the bullets he fired hit a home in Oneida Castle. Sheriff's investigators say Stephen Skiff Jr., of Glenfield, was hunting near East Fifth Street, when he fired off several rounds at a deer.

One of the shots went through the window of a nearby home and struck a stone fireplace inside the residence.

No one was hurt inside the house. Skiff faces charges of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
