School district dealing with loss of students in Richland fire
SANDY CREEK, N.Y. -- Flags were flying at half staff at Sandy Creek Elementary School on Monday in honor of two of the fire Richland victims. Joseph Dillenbeck, 10, and Riley Pottenburgh, 6, attended the school.
Grief councilors spent the day talking with students and teachers, trying to help friends and classmates of the two children understand what happened. Those councilors will be available all week.
