Centro bus fare increases
CENTRAL NEW YORK -- Bus fares will be going up for some travelers in Central New York. Centro riders in Syracuse, Oswego, Fulton and Auburn will all be affected.
Board members of the Central New York Regional Transportation Authority decided to raise Centro Bus rates effective this May. In Syracuse, the rates will increase by 25 cents, bringing an adult base fare to $1.25. In Oswego, Fulton and Auburn, rates will go up by 15 cents, bringing fares to 75 cents.
Two bus routes have also been canceled. Direct bus service from Auburn, Weedsport and Port Byron to the New Process Gear plant in DeWitt will end April 6th and the 250/350 Hancock Airport route will stop May 4th.
