Affordable Furniture auctioned off in Watertown

By: Web Staff

WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The remaining inventory of Affordable Furniture in Watertown was auctioned off Sunday morning.

The company is now out of business after the Attorney General's office had 35 customers complain the store was shut down when they went to pick up furniture they'd already paid for.

More than 100 people were affected in Syracuse, Utica, Rome and Watertown. People were able to come in the store this past week to pick up their purchases.

The auction comes after a Utica man bought the store and its inventory. Carl Vogel says he'll re-open the store this spring under the name, Carl's Furniture City.
