Woman hospitalized after Lowville crash
LOWVILLE, N.Y. -- One woman is taken to the hospital after a two-car crash in the Town of Lowville. Lewis County sheriff's deputies say it happened around 6 p.m. along State Route 26.
Deputies say Stephen Smallidge, 19, fell asleep at the wheel causing his car to move along the right side of another car driven by Susan Burr. When Smallidge woke up, he panicked and jerked the wheel causing his car to hit Burr's car.
Burr's car spun several time before rolling over in a field.
Burr was taken to the hospital for back pain.
Smallidge was ticketed for following too closely and crossing hazardous markings
