MASSENA, N.Y. -- One person is taken to the hospital after a house fire in Massena. Massena firefighters say it started around 11:50 Wednesday night along Winter Street.

Officials say seven people were inside the house when the fire started. One person was treated for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters say the cause of the fire was electrical. They said the house had moderate smoke and water damage.

It took crews a number of hours to bring the fire under control.
