SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Beer Week came to a close with one final competition Saturday. The Empire Brewing Company hosted a Bratwurst eating contest.
Ten competitors had six minutes to down as many brats as they could. In the end, the winner ended up eating 5 1/2 brats, and was able to keep them down.
The restaurant's owner says it was a fun way to finish out Beer Week, and he hopes that all of the events helped promote the craft beer industry in Central New York.
