Rain Increases in Coverage This Afternoon
Remaining Windy & Raw Sunday
Rain will continue to spread into the region this afternoon and pick up in intensity. Everything that falls during the daylight hours should be in the form of rain, but later on tonight as the atmosphere cools look for rain to switch over and mix with snow and sleet in places 1500ft or higher east of Syracuse. Rain and higher elevation mixed precipitation will continue overnight and into Sunday, becoming a bit more scattered by Sunday afternoon. Winds today and into tomorrow will be gusty at times out of the east and north east, perhaps over 30 mph.
Monday will feature lingering drizzle and snow showers in the morning with improving weather by the afternoon. High pressure will slide in from the west and bring us back to sunny, seasonably mild weather through the end of the week.
