CINCINNATI -- New York Governor David Paterson and the NAACP have condemned the New Yorker magazine's satirical cover showing Democrat Barack Obama and his wife as radicals.

Speaking Thursday at the group's national convention in Cincinnati, Paterson called the magazine's cover vicious. The NAACP also condemned the cover as "tasteless, Islamaphobic, mean spirited and racially offensive."
