Clarkson hosts 15th annual World in Potsdam Festival

POTSDAM, N.Y. -- Potsdam was transformed into an international culture center, for the 15th annual World in Potsdam Diversity Festival.



International Students from Potsdam's universities came together to share their cultures with the community.

Visitors were able to see pictures, hear music and taste food from various countries around the world.

The festival celebrates the area's diverse heritage and diverse student population.

Potsdam was transformed into an international culture center for the 15th annual World in Potsdam Diversity Festival.
"It's wonderful because they're here, they're living among us and I don't think so many community members are aware of what they bring to the community so its wonderful for them to display all of their crafts, their cultural things, music and all that," said Cathy Kaplan, Clarkson University Student Support Services.



"It means a lot to be able to bring at least a part of my culture out to show everybody else," said Tara Kindwall, a member of the Clarkson International Club working at the Swedish table.


The event also features various musical performances and a World in Potsdam literary contest.
