OSWEGO, N.Y. -- The City of Oswego welcomes a new fire chief. Joe Perry was sworn into the position Wednesday. Last week Perry was appointed fire chief by Mayor Randy Bateman.
Perry said he hopes to pick up where the old chief left off.
"The citizens of Oswego will know that we have a good fire department and we've had a lot of retirees in the last couple of years, so we're getting a little bit younger than we were before and hopefully we're going to make the strides necessary to continue to make this a good fire department,” said Perry.
