Parents protest move of Baldwinsville principal

BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. -- Parents and students of Reynolds Elementary in Baldwinsville want to keep their principal.

Dozens of people protested in front of the school to keep Principal Steve Frey from being transferred to Palmer Elementary. They claim Superintendent Jeanne Dangle planned the transfer without consulting or informing the PTA or parents and parents say they don't like being left in the dark about the decision.

"A lot of the parents feel that the school board will come to us to pass the budget, but something that's going to directly affect the education, they don't even let us know about. And I think it's a frustrating thing as a parent's point of view too," said PTA President Janet Bednarz.

Superintendent Dangle did not comment on the situation, but did talk with members of the PTA at a meeting Tuesday night.
