It was an exciting day for kids in Broome County. As part of Young Eagles Day, children between the ages of 8 and 17 were offered the chance to hop in the cockpit and go for a ride in the sky.

Fatal accident in Delaware County
State police in Delaware County are investigating a fatal car crash in the town of Roxbury. They said late Thursday night a car carrying two people went off the road and overturned about one mile east of Grand Gorge, on route 23.

Crime declined in 2007
Crime was on the decline last year in the city of Binghamton. Major crimes in the city dropped by 257 between 2006 and 2007 to just over 2,300 in all.

Sex for rent trial wraps up for week
Week two of testimony wraps up in the sex for rent trial in Binghamton. Linda O'Connor of Norwich is accused of selling a 12-year-old girl to her landlord, Dean Sacco, for sex in exchange for rent. O'Connor and Sacco are standing trial together. Our Dana Hendrickson has been following the trial and joins us from outside the courthouse with more on Thursday’s testimony.
