SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. -- The Democratic challenger for Congress in New York's 29th district has received endorsements from members of both parties.
Eric Massa has received the support of retired general and Republican John Batiste, former Horseheads Republican Committee Chairman Sherman Moreland and Steuben County Democratic committee Chairman Shawn Hogan.
Massa says the endorsements show his campaign is not about a political party but about bringing an independent voice to Washington. He's challenging incumbent Republican Congressman Randy Kuhl.
