SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- SU basketball star Eric Devendorf finds himself under investigation after being accused of hitting a woman in the face on the morning of November 1st.
The victim told police she was sitting in her car around 3 a.m. when a group of people starting kicking the car and yelling at her. She claims Devendorf punched her and yelled slurs when she got out. The victim asked that charges be pressed against the basketball star, whom she knew.
The District Attorney has handed the matter over to the Syracuse University Judicial Board.
Devendorf has played in all of the Orange's games this season, including Tuesday night's win against Richmond.
Speaking after the game, Coach Jim Boeheim said the matter is in the hands of the university.
Devendorf does not face any charges. The District Attorney's office has the right to reopen the case if it seems necessary.
