Who will replace Walsh?

Several possible candidates to replace Walsh
One of the possible names being tossed around to replace Walsh in current Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick. He's been the district attorney for 16 years and just won re-election last fall. Also being talked about is Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- One of the possible names being tossed around to replace Walsh in current Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick. He's been the district attorney for 16 years and just won re-election last fall.

Also being talked about is Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks. She's been the county executive since 2004, before that she served as county clerk and as a Monroe County legislator.


Other names being heard is recently elected Onondaga County Comptroller Robert Antonacci.
He took over for Robert Colon who decided not to run for re-election.


Former State Fair director Peter Cappuccilli Jr. is another name being heard as a possible candidate. He ran the state fair for ten years. He was also mentioned as an early candidate to run for Onondaga County Executive.
