POTSDAM, N.Y. – Army ROTC cadets from across New York State were at Clarkson University on Saturday for leadership training exercises.
The Army cadets came from ROTC programs at Clarkson, Cornell, Syracuse and Niagara University. The cadets from the Clarkson program attend Clarkson, SUNY Potsdam, SUNY Canton and St. Lawrence University.
More than 200 total cadets completed basic or advanced training, where they worked together to complete tasks.

"I've learned how to communicate better, how to be a leader, how to follow and also how to work together with other people I don't know," said Cadet Jayson Keys, from Clarkson.
"We've accomplished more than we ever thought we could. Especially with people coming from different schools, knowing different things, we've managed to put all the differences aside and still accomplish the task," said J.D. Schumacher, a cadet from SUNY Potsdam
The cadets also spent Friday on Fort Drum, where they completed the Army's obstacle course.
