WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The Strand Music Theater club in Watertown is now off limits to 10th Mountain Division soldiers.

Division Commander Major General Michael Oates calls it a dangerous location for soldiers. Over the last year, he said the 10th Mountain Division has had numerous soldiers injured in or near the Strand.

Two months ago, Private Kristopher Hendricks was arrested after police said he drove his car through a lot behind city hall and hit a parked car. They said he then drove through a group of people who were also soldiers.

Oates said the club is off limits until June 1st and at that time he will reassess the situation. Soldiers who enter the club may be punished, possibly court martialed.
