BREWERTON, N.Y. -- A new passenger boat tour on Oneida Lake is giving Central New Yorkers both entertainment and a little history. The vessel called "Mystere" has a plentiful lineup of dinner and entertainment cruises in Brewerton throughout the summer.
Last winter, Jeffrey Pyle and his family from Baldwinsville bought a 60-foot double decker boat originally built in 1977. They made more than $400,000 in renovations to meet 2008 safety regulations.
Now on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights the boat heads out on Oneida Lake offering dinner cruises and historical stories about the area. There's also moonlight entertainment cruises offered on weekends with live bands and DJ's.

"We really wanted to set down roots here and we see a lot of promise in the area. It's a beautiful area. And, the lake is beautiful and I think that this brings something unique to the area that people can see," said Captain Jeffrey Pyle.
