Procession for fallen Marine

BERNHARDS BAY, N.Y. -- A procession will be held Saturday to honor a Bernhards Bay Marine killed in Iraq.


Marine Corps Captain Philip Dykeman, 38, was killed June 26th by a suicide bomber in Iraq's Anbar Province. Dykeman was an infantry company commander for Company F, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines.

Private services will be held, but people are encouraged to line State Route 49 between 12:15 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon for a procession.

Firefighters, Boy Scouts and VFW members are expected to participate in the tribute.
