Man taken into custody after three hour standoff

STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Steuben County man was taken in for mental evaluation after holding deputies in a standoff for several hours Monday afternoon.


The Sheriff's office says they were called to a home in Arkport around 1:00 p.m. They were greeted by a 73-year-old man shouting at them, threatening to use a knife.

The suspect, Raymond O'Keefe was taken into custody after a three hour standoff.

No one was hurt in the incident.
