PHILADELPHIA, N.Y. -- State Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Stewart's Shop in the Village of Philadelphia. They say it happened around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday at the store along Route 11.

Police say a black male wearing a black hoodie and a white bandana over his face used a black handgun to rob the store, making off with $600. A temporary roadblock was set up along Route 11 at the intersection of State Route 26 near Evans Mills.
