CENTRAL NEW YORK -- Several police agencies from both Onondaga and Madison counties are searching the woods near the intersection of Route 298 and Taft Road in Schepps Corners after a vehicle pursuit that started in Madison County ended up in Onondaga County.

Madison County 911 reports around 12:50 a.m. Friday, Canastota police attempted to stop a car when the car took off. They say the car traveled north on Route 13, then west on Route 31 to Bridgeport in Onondaga County. The car then turned west on Route 298.

Police say they've found the car, but not the driver.
