STEUBEN, N.Y. -- One person is dead and another seriously hurt after a crash in Oneida County and police say one of the drivers had been drinking.
Deputies say Brandon Razzano, 23, of Barneveld, was driving on Route 274 in the town of Steuben just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday when he hit another car in the intersection of Soule Road. Two of the passengers in the other car, Laura Gribneau, 36, of Boonville, and Kelly Barcomb, 37, of Old Forge, were thrown from the vehicle. They were both taken to Saint Elizabeth's Hospital, where Gribneau was pronounced dead. Barcomb was then taken to University Hospital in Syracuse in critical condition. Two others in the car, including the driver, are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Razzano was not hurt in the crash. He's charged with driving while intoxicated.
