MORRISVILLE, N.Y. -- SUNY Morrisville gets big dollars for its Renewable Energy Training Center. Congressman John McHugh presented the check for nearly $2 million Thursday afternoon.
The Renewable Energy Training Center will encompass a multi-county alliance of employers, training providers, economic development partners and K through 12 schools. The center will address the long and short-term skill needs of the state's high-growth, high-demand renewable energy sector.
The college was selected for the grant by the department of Labor from among 341 energy applicants.
