MADISON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Police have made an arrest in connection with this spring's fatal fire in DeRuyter. The fire claimed the life of a 17-year-old girl in April.
Police say Trevor Tormey, 22, of Erieville provided alcohol for minors at the DeRuyter cottage.
Julia Parker of Cazenovia died when she was trapped inside the burning building. At the time of her death, Parker's blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit.
Tormey has been charged with three misdemeanor counts of unlawfully dealing with a child.
