ENDICOTT, N.Y. -- For 20 years, there has been at least one constant in Senator Tom Libous' life. His annual steak roast was held Thursday at EnJoie Golf Club.
People from the Southern Tier turned out for some golf, live music and of course steak, served by the senator himself. Majority Leader Dean Skelos was the special guest.
Democrat or Republican, it didn't really matter what side you were on.
For 20 years, there has been at least one constant in Senator Tom Libous' life. His annual steak roast was held Thursday at EnJoie Golf Club.
"You have republican, democrats, liberals, conservatives. There's a mix of people from the community here. It's not just a Republican function. It's a function where all parties are welcome and it's great to have him here," Libous said.
"This is a happening. Bi-partisan support for Senator Libous from the community, not just political, people from all walks of life and shows the respect they have for him," said Skelos.
About 3,000 people attended the steak roast.
Earlier this summer, Senator Libous became the Deputy Majority leader for the state senate.
