SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- When some NBA stars arrive a for a pre-season exhibition game at the Carrier Dome on October 17th, some very special guests will be in attendance.

One hundred children from various local centers will be getting their seats at the dome for free. The Syracuse Auto Dealers Association is picking up the tab to give the young people an opportunity to watch Carmelo Anthony and other stars from the Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns in action. "It's just a tremendous experience for these young folks to get a chance to see in person some of their favorite people. There's going to be some interesting people coming to town on these two teams that these kids kind of like idolize," said Jesse Dowdell, Executive Director of the Southwest Community Center.

Children from Dowdell's Southwest Community Center, as well as children from the Northeast Community Center, Dunbar Center, Huntington Family Center and the Boys and Girls Club will take part in the program.
