Ballot counting for 24th Congressional District

CENTRAL NEW YORK -- The absentee ballot count and recanvassing is underway across the 24th Congressional District.


Democrat incumbent Michael Arcuri and republican Businessman Richard Hanna are vying for the seat. Election night totals have Arcuri ahead of Hanna by nearly 6,400 votes.

The absentee ballot count and re-canvassing is underway across the 24th Congressional District. Democrat incumbent Michael Arcuri and republican Businessman Richard Hanna are vying for the seat.
There are 11 counties in the district and their numbers are unofficial at this time, but both candidates are maintaining their respective leads. Most counties expect to have their numbers complete by midweek.
