WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- A Jefferson County grand jury handed up an indictment Wednesday charging a Michigan woman with killing her newborn baby at a hotel in Watertown.
Andrea Kline, 21, is charged with criminally negligent homicide, tampering with physical evidence and endangering the welfare of a child. Kline was in Watertown back in February visiting her boyfriend when the incident occurred.
A Jefferson County grand jury handed up an indictment Wednesday charging a Michigan woman with killing her newborn baby at a hotel in Watertown.
Police say Kline's newborn baby was found in a trash can at the Best Western Hotel. At the time of the incident police said the child suffered blunt force trauma that resulted in a skull fracture and bleeding in the brain.
Kline's arraignment is tentatively scheduled for September 14th in Jefferson County court.
