Two law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty will be honored Tuesday in Albany.
Two members of law enforcement killed in the line of duty last year will receive top honors in Albany today.
New York State Trooper Andrew Sperr and New Hartford Police officer Joseph Corr will share the Governor's "Law Enforcement Officer of the Year" Award for 2006.
Andrew Sperr was shot and killed while chasing two bank robbers in Big Flats in March of last year. His parents will accept

the award on behalf of their son.
"My objective is, I guess, selfish in some respects in that I want to keep his memory alive in a positive fashion as much as possible. And so many good things have happened since he was murdered. He's gotten substantial, very substantial scholarship donations at the grammar school, high school and college levels," said Andy Sperr, the slain trooper's father.
Officer Joseph Corr's family will accept the award on his behalf.
Corr was shot and killed while pursuing suspects in a million dollar jewelry store heist in February of 2006, just two days before the death of Trooper Sperr.
