HERKIMER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A New Jersey man is dead after crashing his snowmobile in Herkimer County. Police in the Town of Webb were called to Big Moose Road at about 2 p.m. Sunday.

They say Patrick Naughton, 64, was driving his snowmobile on the road when he lost control and crashed into a tree. He was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital. A seven year old was also on the sled, but was not seriously injured.
